Asphalt paving works on the CV-821 road, covering approximately 2.4 kilometers, will begin on Monday, September 14. The project will extend from the vicinity of the fire station to the San Vicente del Raspeig Tennis Club.
Work will start in the morning from the end near the fire station and will be carried out in a single lane. This will keep the road open to traffic, maintaining vehicle circulation and minimizing disruption.
The estimated duration for the complete intervention, in both directions, will be two weeks. The paving work will progress to cover the entire four-lane stretch, where improvements are being made by the Generalitat Valenciana.
The mayor and councilor for Infrastructure, Pachi Pascual, has confirmed that the area will be signposted and that the Local Police will provide surveillance services. Pascual has urged drivers to exercise caution, as traffic jams are expected on the first day, particularly during peak hours coinciding with school entry times for nearby educational centers.
The paving operation is part of the conservation and improvement works on the CV-821's surface, with an investment of nearly 500,000 euros. In a first phase, initiated last May, palm trees located in the road's median were removed and transplanted.
The objective is to repair existing damage to the road surface, such as irregularities and undulations caused by the growth of palm tree roots, and to improve pavement conditions to ensure road safety. Repairs to affected curbs and the conditioning of tree pits are also included. The transplanted palm trees have been relocated to various areas within the municipality.
