Alicante Tram served 1.9 million users in June

The public transport service saw a slight decrease of 2.88% compared to the previous year, with the 23rd being the busiest day.

The Alicante Tram transported 1,911,818 users during June, representing a 2.88% decrease compared to the same month of the previous year. Tuesday, June 23rd, coinciding with the Hogueras festivities, was the busiest day with 93,507 passengers.

The public transport network of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) in Alicante, comprising four tram lines, one tram-train line, and one conventional train line, registered a total of 1,911,818 users in June. In total, FGV recorded 10,063,895 movements between Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant during the same period.
By line, Line 2, connecting Luceros with San Vicente del Raspeig, was the most in-demand with 700,563 movements. It was followed by Line 1 (Luceros-Benidorm) with 405,759 users, Line 3 (Luceros-El Campello) with 303,129, Line 4 (Luceros-Plaza La Coruña) with 236,346, Line 9 (Benidorm-Dénia) with 152,380, and Line 5 (Puerta del Mar-Plaza La Coruña) with 113,641.
Regarding stations, Luceros was the busiest with 321,584 passengers, followed by Mercado with 257,768. San Vicente del Raspeig recorded 101,757 users, Marq-Castillo 101,009, and Benidorm 95,000.
Continuing the station ranking, El Campello accumulated 56,774 movements, Garbinet 50,000, Pintor Gastón Castelló 49,360, Bulevar del Plá 48,861, and Hospital 40,238.
