The Governing Board of Alicante City Council has formalized the award of the Home Help Service (SAD) to the company Atende Servicios Integrados S. L. to improve social care.

The contract, which has a budget of 7,866,470 euros, will have an initial duration of two years, with the possibility of an additional extension. This investment will allow for a total of 163,680 hours of assistance per year, representing an increase of 6,731 hours compared to the previous agreement.
The SAD aims primarily to enable elderly, dependent, or vulnerable individuals to remain in their usual environment. The service includes domestic tasks, personal care, and psychosocial support to enhance the autonomy of the users.
According to the Department of Social Welfare, this service is essential to prevent loneliness and delay institutionalization as much as possible, offering continuous support in daily living activities.
