Alicante Hosts Cycling Schools Provincial Trophy with 200 Young Racers

The 38th edition concludes the season's racing calendar with a circuit through the city center.

Approximately 200 children between 6 and 14 years old are participating this Sunday, September 20th, in Alicante in the 38th edition of the Provincial Trophy 'Cycling Schools', which marks the end of the season's racing calendar.

The sporting event will commence at 10:00 AM from the doors of the Provincial Palace. The urban circuit, approximately 1,000 meters long, will run along Avenida de la Estación to Plaza de los Luceros, continuing through General Marvá to the intersection with Benito Pérez Galdós, and concluding back at the Diputación de Alicante.
The provincial deputy responsible for the area, Bernabé Cano, expressed the provincial institution's satisfaction in accompanying the young athletes on a day that combines sport, community, and fun. Cano emphasized the Diputación's commitment to grassroots sports and the promotion of initiatives that encourage healthy lifestyle habits and values such as effort, respect, and camaraderie among participants.
The event, organized by the Federació Ciclisme Comunitat Valenciana with the support of the Diputación, includes the categories of promises (up to 8 years old), beginners (9 and 10 years old), alevines (11 and 12 years old), and children (13 and 14 years old).
