The city of Alicante will become the center of the debate on the modernization of industrial estates by hosting the 9th National Congress of Industrial Areas on October 28, 29, and 30.

The meeting will bring together representatives from public administrations, management entities, and companies to examine the challenges and opportunities facing the current productive fabric. The designation of Alicante as the venue for this event represents recognition of the work carried out by administrations and the Management and Modernization Entities (EGM) in the province.
Support for the transformation of business parks is reflected in the investments planned for the province. Between 2024 and 2026, 22.7 million euros have been allocated through Ivace+i to improve 103 industrial areas in Alicante. Of that amount, 3.5 million euros have been directed to specific projects in nine business parks in the city of Alicante.
The management of these areas has been strengthened by instruments such as the Industrial Areas Law, which allows parks to be classified as basic, consolidated, or advanced. This distinction acts as a quality seal that increases attractiveness for new investments. Currently, the Las Atalayas and Cotes Baixes parks already hold the highest legal rating.
