Alicante City Council has opened a call for grants to fund education and awareness initiatives on sustainable development, with a total budget of 16,150 euros.

The Local Government Board has approved these grants, which will provide up to 3,000 euros per project. The main objective is to promote training and communication regarding global citizenship, social justice, and human rights among the population of Alicante.
Non-profit organizations and NGOs with at least two years of experience in the city are eligible to apply. The proposed actions must focus on awareness in educational settings, both formal and informal, ranging from early childhood to university levels.
The Immigration, Cooperation, and Volunteering Service is managing this initiative, which seeks to foster active and supportive citizenship that respects cultural diversity. The measure strengthens the municipal commitment to the local associative sector and the promotion of social values.
