Technology companies interested in participating can submit their applications until November 16. The call includes three main categories: Award for Spin-off, Award for Start-up, and Award for Company-University Collaboration. This year, a special mention for the best innovative project in digital technologies has been added.
Each category will have one winner and up to two honorable mentions, except for the special mention, which will have a single recognition. Winners in the three main categories and the special mention will receive a feature in Economia 3 magazine.
This initiative is part of the agreements signed by the Conselleria de Industria, Turismo, Innovación y Comercio with the five science parks of Valencian public universities, aiming to strengthen scientific, technological, and business interconnection within the region.
The Award for Spin-off aims to recognize companies promoted by Teaching and Research Staff (PDI), PhD holders, or doctoral students, created from research results and linked to Valencian science parks.
The Award for Start-up category is for innovative start-ups established after November 16, 2021, and located in the Valencian Community. Start-ups that, even if not considered innovative, have successfully participated in projects funded by the Conselleria will also be admitted.
The Award for Company-University Collaboration targets companies collaborating with Valencian public universities on R&D programs or projects that have contributed to the development of the Valencian economy.
The special mention will recognize innovative projects in digital technologies, located in the Valencian Community, that develop solutions capable of generating economic, social, or environmental impact and driving digital transformation.
