The gatherings began on Monday with a talk titled ‘Saurins. The Water Magicians’, by José Luis Cuesta Briz, at the Casa Social. On Tuesday, the theme continued with a walk to Racó de Les Covetes, where a demonstration of the water magicians' technique was held. That same day, attendees could also participate in a talk on healthy eating.
Wednesday and Thursday were marked by two excursions to Mora de Rubielos and Rubielos de Mora, where participants explored the cultural heritage of these two towns in the Gúdar-Javalambre region. Additionally, on Wednesday, the traditional guiñote championship took place.
Friday was for the more festive-minded with a potluck dinner and dancing accompanied by Duo Clave. The weekend kicked off on Saturday afternoon with the presentation of the book ‘Museu de la Vida Rural de Benassal’, by Emili Ferrando.
Finally, the gatherings concluded with a play at the Carles Pons hall. The performance ‘Canviarem bolquers segons el BOE’ (We'll change diapers according to the Official State Gazette), by Cia. Teatro del Contrahecho, managed to make the audience reflect while filling the hall with laughter.
Through this initiative, Vilafranca's elderly were able to reconnect and enjoy a week dedicated to them, combining cultural events, tourism, and sports, with coexistence, learning, and a good atmosphere as fundamental pillars.
