Emergency services have activated a response in the Els Ports region to stop the fire's progress. Three aerial assets and three forest firefighter units from the Generalitat are working on site to extinguish the flames.
This incident coincides with a day in which several fires have been recorded across the Valencian territory. In addition to the Castellfort fire, another blaze was reported in Soneja, in the Alto Palancia region, where seven aerial assets, seven forest firefighter units, two crews from the Castellón Provincial Fire Consortium, and a forest coordinator were deployed.
Authorities remain vigilant ahead of a heatwave expected this Monday, which could complicate conditions in areas with abundant forest cover.
