The Civil Guard has reported the discovery of 68 projectiles from the Civil War in the town of Villores, located in the Els Ports region.

Explosive ordnance disposal specialists (Gedex) from Castellón carried out the controlled detonation of the devices. Each projectile weighed approximately 8 kilograms and was a 75mm high-explosive artillery shell, containing an internal charge of 345 grams of TNT.
The find occurred last Thursday during construction work in this municipality of Els Ports, when the Civil Guard was alerted. Due to the large number of devices, the disposal operations concluded at the La Torreta quarry, situated between Castellón and Borriol, where they were finally detonated safely.
Although the projectiles lack fuses and primers, and despite the time they had been buried, they retained their destructive capacity intact.
