The institutional meeting, held in the Mayor's office, included the participation of the Councilor for Citizen Security, Ximo Mira, the first deputy mayor, Geno Micó, and the Local Police inspector, Javier Cuenca. It served as the first official contact between the new head of the Civil Guard and the City Council, as well as for defining future lines of work.
During the reception, the importance of maintaining and enhancing the existing collaboration between the Civil Guard, the Local Police, and the Novelda City Council was highlighted. This coordination is considered fundamental for ensuring citizen security, improving response to incidents, and providing a close and effective service to all residents.
Mayor Fran Martínez welcomed Karen Sarriá González, wishing her success in her new role. He reiterated the municipality's full willingness to continue working jointly with the Civil Guard.

The Civil Guard unit led by the new commander serves not only Novelda but also the neighboring towns of Agost and Monforte del Cid.
