The Elda City Council has begun asphalt renovation and drainage improvement works on Paseo de Ronda street, in the Molinos de Félix neighborhood, to facilitate traffic and prevent puddle formation.

The project focuses on an area of approximately 1,000 square meters of pavement, aiming to achieve a uniform surface that promotes vehicle circulation and enhances pedestrian accessibility, thereby increasing safety throughout the area.
This area experiences high foot traffic, as it directly connects to the Jardines del Vinalopó and allows crossing towards the Circunvalación road, where the Marina Española health center and a new temporary parking area are located.
The works include changing the road's gradient so that rainwater flows naturally, preventing puddle formation and keeping the road dry near residential buildings. Approximately 120 linear meters will be adjusted to modify the slope towards the area furthest from the homes.
The intervention also includes the reinstallation of a speed bump to enhance pedestrian safety against vehicular traffic, raising all manhole covers for easier access after paving, and repainting necessary road markings.

"The repaving works on Paseo de Ronda street fulfill a neighborhood demand, made through the Virgen de la Salud Neighborhood Association, and allow us to improve the existing asphalt and avoid the inconveniences suffered by residents on rainy days."
