The Elda City Council plenary session has greenlit a series of agreements aimed at supporting the associative fabric, promoting international solidarity, boosting sports, culture, and local traditions.
The Department of Solidarity has approved the regulations for granting subsidies to International Development Cooperation projects for the year 2026. This call, aimed at Non-Governmental Development Organizations, will have a budget of €90,000, reaffirming the solidarity of Elda's citizens.
In the cultural sphere, an agreement has been approved with the Asociación ADOC (Friends of Opera and Concerts) for 2026, with an allocation of €22,000. This contribution aims to promote cultural activity and the dissemination of music in the city.
Looking ahead to the September Major Festivals, an agreement has been approved with the Cofradía de los Santos Patronos for €20,000. This aid will fund the organization of events honoring the Virgen de la Salud and the Cristo del Buen Suceso, considered drivers of local tourism promotion and identity.
Finally, the continuation of the sponsorship contract with the Club Balonmano Femenino Elda Prestigio has been ratified, ensuring their presence in the elite of Spanish handball with an allocation of €181,000.
