The Elda City Council will carry out pavement improvement works next week on the Eldense Excursionist Center bridge, a key traffic point, to ensure the safety of vehicles and pedestrians.
The planned works include milling the existing surface, repairing the most deteriorated sections, and paving the affected area across the four existing lanes. The aim is to improve safety and mobility towards the city's industrial areas, avoiding complete traffic restrictions.
The Department of Public Space is finalizing preparations for a smooth execution of the works. The intervention will be carried out in stages to allow traffic flow from the city towards the industrial areas of Campo Alto and Finca Lacy and vice versa.
The work will begin with milling the deteriorated areas and subsequent cleaning. Then, localized demolition and repair will be carried out on the points with the greatest unevenness, where the support surface will be conditioned and filled with hot bituminous mix.
Once these points are repaired, an adhesion prime coat will be applied to the entire work area before resurfacing the four lanes of the historic bridge, which connects Ronda Avenue with Eldense Excursionist Center Avenue and the Monóvar road.
Finally, after repaving, the road markings will be repainted to ensure correct vehicle traffic, adhering to existing traffic regulations.

"The works for the improvement and conditioning of the pavement on the Eldense Excursionist Center bridge allow us to offer a sustainable solution over time so that the circulation of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists is carried out in a more comfortable and safe way."

"From the Public Space area, we have sought to adjust the intervention so that it is carried out in the shortest possible time and thus avoid inconvenience to all the workers who go daily to the city's industrial areas to carry out their working day."
