The Elda City Council has started works to renew the sanitation network and improve accessibility on Cura Navarro street, between Emilio Rico and Padre Manjón, to address damage caused by time.

The intervention addresses the need to improve the existing sanitation system, which was deteriorated and causing damage to the road surface. Work has begun with the removal of the current network and the demolition of the existing inspection chamber at the intersection with Emilio Rico street.
Excavation will be carried out to lay the new pipe and create new inspection chambers, facilitating future maintenance and cleaning. The new pipe will connect to the existing network, the trench will be filled with aggregate and compacted, and finally, the entire affected street will be asphalted and the horizontal signage repainted.
Furthermore, accessibility will be improved with a new ramp at the corner of Cura Navarro and Emilio Rico streets, making this four-corner intersection fully accessible for everyone, especially those with reduced mobility.
The complete repaving of the road will enhance vehicular traffic flow, improve rainwater drainage, and increase safety for vehicles and pedestrians, a crucial measure given the daily traffic volume in this area near the Plaza del Zapatero.

José Antonio Amat · Councilor for Public Space and Investments
The councilor emphasized that "from the municipal government, we continue to carry out the necessary maintenance tasks and interventions to facilitate and make the daily lives of our city's residents more comfortable, while simultaneously undertaking renovation works that modernize our neighborhoods to adapt them to everyone's needs."
