The Elda City Council has completed improvement and maintenance works on the Camara forest track, an 11,205.82 euro project funded by the Generalitat Valenciana, which will ensure better access for emergency vehicles and strengthen fire prevention.

The Camara forest track, with a total length of 2,278.45 meters, has undergone conditioning works including stone crushing, terrain leveling, and surface compaction. These interventions aim to improve circulation conditions and facilitate vehicular access along the route.
The main objective of this action is to guarantee sufficient access for emergency vehicles in case intervention is needed for forest fires or other situations requiring action in the natural environment. The Councilor for Environment, Cristina Rodríguez Armigen, stated that "the improvement of forest infrastructures is fundamental to facilitate the response of emergency services and contribute to the protection of the natural environment."
Rodríguez Armigen recalled that in previous years a firebreak supported by this road had already been executed. With this new intervention, the City Council continues to advance in the adaptation of forest roads and in the improvement of available resources for prevention and action against possible emergencies.
The councilor highlighted the importance of continuing to invest in the maintenance of the municipality's forest infrastructures, as "the conservation of our forest roads is fundamental to protect the natural environment and facilitate the work of emergency services. Having access roads in good condition can be decisive when intervening in a forest fire or any other emergency. This way, we will always be one step ahead of potential problems that may arise."
