Elda commemorates October 9th, the Day of the Valencian Community, with a series of events including a parade, traditional performances, and the 'Tardeo Festival Elda'.

Plaza Castelar will once again be the focal point for the October 9th celebrations in Elda, featuring inflatable attractions and traditional wooden games from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A facsimile of a newspaper, with text by official chronicler Gabriel Segura, explaining Elda's connection to the holiday, will also be distributed.
The day begins at 11:00 AM with a parade starting from the headquarters of the AVV Estación-4 Zonas, marking its 50th anniversary, at 11:30 AM. The procession, involving the AMCE Santa Cecilia, the Colla de los Santos Patronos, the Gigantes y Cabezudos de Elda, and the dance group La Faltriquera, will conclude at Plaza Castelar, after collecting authorities at Plaza de la Constitución.
From 12:00 PM, La Faltriquera, the Gigantes y Cabezudos de Elda, and the colla de los Santos Patronos will present a traditional dance performance. At 1:00 PM, the AMCE Santa Cecilia will perform the anthems.
The festivities continue in the afternoon, from 5:30 PM to 11:30 PM, at the same Plaza Castelar, with the free 'Tardeo Festival Elda'. The show 'Así sonaba' by Jose AM DJ and Sergio Moreno will feature a compilation of dance music from the 90s and 2000s. For Jose AM, a well-known DJ and radio host, this will be his first performance in the province of Alicante.
On Saturday, October 10th, at 9:00 PM, the Correfoc (fire run) will take place, organized by Els Dimonis Rafolins. It will start from Plaza de Arriba and proceed through several streets, ending at Plaza Castelar. Cautionary measure posters will be displayed along the route.
