The municipality of Serra has intensified its preparedness for potential risk situations through specific training in emergency management and a drill, aligned with municipal planning. The primary objective has been to enhance the response capacity of the various teams.
This initiative involved the Local Police, Civil Protection, the Rural Guard, technical staff, municipal services, and members of the governing team. The session combined theoretical content with a practical part, including a drill focused on a forest fire, a scenario demanding rapid and coordinated action.
The drill allowed for on-site testing of communication and coordination mechanisms among the diverse municipal resources in response to a forest fire. In this way, the Serra City Council demonstrates its ongoing commitment to updating protocols and preparing its teams.
“"In the face of an emergency, coordination and preparation are fundamental. Training and drills allow us to simulate situations, review protocols, and identify areas for improvement before a real situation occurs."
This action is part of a grant of 11,616 euros awarded by the Provincial Council of Valencia (Diputació de València), aimed at preventing natural disasters. These funds enable the promotion of training and prevention initiatives at the municipal level.
Through this initiative, the Serra City Council consolidates its commitment to prevention, training, and citizen safety, strengthening municipal mechanisms for preparation and response to potential emergencies.
