The L'Eliana City Council today recognized the businesses awarded in the fifth edition of the Valencian Language Use in Local Commerce Awards 2026, an initiative that rewards efforts to incorporate the language into daily activities.

The Office for the Promotion of Valencian, with support from a grant from the Provincial Council of Valencia, has driven this initiative to encourage Valencian as a common language of communication with citizens in businesses.
In this edition, the awarded businesses are Bar Torrent, for its use in electronic media and social networks; RR Nutrición Deportiva, for incorporating the language in physical signage and digital formats; and Taberna d’Ara, for making Valencian present from the establishment's name to customer service.
Throughout these five editions, the awards have recognized the involvement of establishments such as Papereria Montaner, Forn i Pastisseria Comes, the bookstore De Libro en Libro, Gelateria La Caseta, Marco Alimentació, Dekora Mobles, Ferreteria Vicent, Floristeria Flors Maria, and Bar Nit i Dia.
The City Council highlights the fundamental role of the commercial fabric as a promoter of Valencian normalization, as daily interaction with residents ensures the language's presence in all municipal spheres.
Furthermore, the Office for the Promotion of Valencian offers a free text correction and translation service for physical and digital materials, thereby facilitating the incorporation of Valencian into commercial activities.
