The celebration will kick off on Thursday, October 1st, with the presentation of Octubre Gran, a program of activities for seniors that will include a performance by Pepa Cases and a tasting of Valencian products.
On Thursday, October 8th, a visit to the Monastery of El Puig is proposed to learn about the history of Jaume I and his connection to this site. That same afternoon, the Municipal Library will host the children's workshop ‘Jocs del passat per a xiquets del futur’ (Games of the past for children of the future), focused on traditional games.
Music will have a prominent space in the País Valencià square with a concert by Maria Faubel, titled «Miralls» (Mirrors). The singer-songwriter from Llíria will offer a repertoire blending sensitivity, poetry, and social reflection.
On Friday, October 9th, the main day of the festivities, the program will begin with the XXXVIII Ciclopasseig (Cycling Tour) at 12:00 PM from Europa square. Registrations will be open until one hour before its start.
In the afternoon, the País Valencià square will host the traditional Fireta del 9 d’Octubre (October 9th Fair) from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, featuring workshops, a photo booth, and participation from local associations. The program also includes a game of pilota valenciana (Valencian handball) on Santa Teresa street and the ‘La Fallera Calavera’ tournament, as well as the children's concert ‘Bestioles i bestioletes’ by Rodamons. The celebration will conclude with fireworks.
Activities will continue on Friday, October 16th, with the 25th edition of the Certamen Literari Vila de l’Eliana (Literary Contest), which will feature a performance of ‘Abanicos de colores’ (Colorful Fans), the winning work from the 2025 edition, presented by Teatreliana.
Finally, on Wednesday, October 28th, the linguistic pairings for the ‘Voluntariat pel Valencià’ (Volunteering for Valencian) program will be presented. This initiative promotes the use of the Valencian language through meetings between volunteers and learners from the municipality. Registration closes on October 18th.
