The Generalitat Valenciana has decreed access restrictions to the 17 natural parks of the Comunitat due to the high risk of forest fires caused by the current heatwave.

The measure, which will be in force until next Thursday, affects iconic spaces such as the Serra Calderona Natural Park, located in the town of Serra. The order issued by the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response prohibits the transit of people, whether on foot or by any type of vehicle, along trails and fields within these protected environments.
This decision was taken jointly with the Regional Secretariat for Environment and Territory. The goal is to minimize the chances of fire in a context of significantly high temperatures and the possible occurrence of dry storms in the interior of the Valencian territory.
Restrictions also include the suspension of work on forest land, the prohibition of recreational fire use, and the cancellation of any sporting event passing through forest areas, even if previously authorized. Recreational areas and campsites located in these spaces will remain closed during this period.
Access will only be permitted for those performing management, surveillance, maintenance, or supply tasks, as well as for residents and workers of agricultural holdings or service facilities located within the natural parks.
