The incident occurred around midday, during the installation of electric chargers for vehicles. A team with a sergeant from the Sagunto station of the Provincial Firefighters Consortium had to intervene to locate and resolve the leak.
As a precautionary measure, residents were confined to their homes and pedestrian access was closed until the leak was found. However, it was not deemed necessary to evacuate the residents.
Firefighters proceeded to ventilate all nearby homes. The work was completed nearly three hours after the initial alert. The Sagunto City Council specified that the issue with the electric chargers still needed to be resolved to continue with the construction works.
