This Saturday, starting at 10:00 PM, the El Palmeral auditorium will host the election gala for the Senior Queens and Maids of Honor for the 2026 Patron Saint and Moors and Christians Festivals in honor of the Virgen de Loreto. Five young women from Santa Pola, Reyes Giménez Cascales, Helena Martínez Alba, Estefanía Martínez Navarro, Eva María Pomares Palao, and Fabiola Sempere Martínez, will compete for the title of Senior Queen.
The gala will commence with the presentation and first parade of the candidates in evening gowns. Following this, the 2025 Court of Honor will bid farewell, reminiscing about the best moments of their year. The aspirants will return to the stage to parade again, this time in the traditional gala fisherwoman attire, a symbol of Santa Pola's maritime culture.
The election of the Senior Queen will be decided by popular vote, with each attendee casting their ballot on their invitation. After a concert by singer Soraya Arnelas, presenting her "Iconismo Tour" show, the voting results will be announced. The mayor, Loreto Serrano, accompanied by the Councilor for Festivals, Nely Baile, will proclaim the new Senior Queen 2026.
The trilogy of elections will continue on Sunday the 16th, at 8:30 PM, with the election gala for the Junior Queens and Maids of Honor, which will include the show "30 Years of Illusion" by the Inmaculada Jaén Dance School. Five girls between 8 and 12 years old, selected by lottery, will compete for the title.
Finally, on Monday the 17th, also at 8:30 PM, the election gala for the Senior Queens and Maids of Honor will take place. María Concepción Gabarrón López, Rosario Rodes Alonso, and Encarnación Sebastián Garriga are the candidates. The gala will conclude with the show "Hey! Homenaje a Julio Iglesias".
