Santa Pola has proclaimed its 2026 Festival Queens during an intense weekend, culminating today with the election of the Third Age Queen.

Conchi Gabarrón López has been chosen as the Third Age Queen of Santa Pola for the 2026 festivals, following an intense weekend of elections. The gala, held at the El Palmeral auditorium, marked the final event of the festive proclamations.
In the Third Age gala, María Concepción Gabarrón López was the lucky one chosen as Queen, accompanied by Rosario Rodes Alonso and Encarni Sebastián Garriga as Maids of Honour. The three candidates paraded before the attending audience before the results were announced.
The Queen and Maids of Honour of the Third Age represent a dynamic collective actively involved in the town's cultural and festive life. The gala was characterized by a festive atmosphere and high summer temperatures.
The event was attended by the Councillor for Festivals, Nely Baile; the Councillor for Senior Citizens, Gela Roche; and the Mayor, Loreto Serrano, who officially proclaimed the new queens. The ceremony included the presentation of sashes and scarves by the outgoing queens and maids from the previous year: Carla Martínez García, Cati Bonmatí Garri, and María Loyola Cabrera.
The celebration concluded with a fireworks display and a musical tribute to Julio Iglesias, bringing a grand finale to the 2026 Festival Queen elections.
