The Santa Pola City Council has activated the Municipal Emergency Plan due to the extreme risk of forest fires, establishing prohibitions and suspensions of activities until Friday, August 21st.

Due to the Resolution from the Directorate of the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response and the Autonomous Secretariat of Environment and Territory, which establishes pre-emergency level 3 for extreme forest fire risk throughout the Valencian Community, the Santa Pola City Council has implemented preventive measures.
This pre-emergency level will be in effect from Wednesday, August 19, 2026, to Friday, August 21, 2026, inclusive. During this period, mandatory prohibitions will apply to forest areas within the municipality and their influence zones.
The measures include prohibiting pedestrian traffic on trails and cross-country, suspending works and activities in forest areas or their vicinity, and suspending the festive-recreational use of fire. It is also generally prohibited to light any type of fire, and authorizations for sporting events on forest land are suspended.
The Local Police will take the necessary measures to ensure compliance with these provisions. Additionally, municipal social media channels will issue a statement informing the public about the current restrictions.
