The new season of Radio UMH has begun with the broadcast of its usual programming. Throughout this academic year, the university radio will maintain broadcasts from educational centers, local festivals, and patron saint celebrations in towns where UMH has campuses. It will also cover institutional events, such as the official academic year opening ceremony, and other special broadcasts to commemorate dates related to social and university events, as well as the University Sports Championships (CADU).
Radio UMH's programming once again includes shows dedicated to science and research, as well as culture, music, sports, literature, and cinema. The university station features several programs directed, produced, and presented by Teaching and Research Staff (PDI), Technical, Management, and Administrative and Service Staff (PTGAS), and UMH Alumni, as well as university students; from non-governmental organizations, associations like the Association of Journalists of the Province of Alicante, and Professional Colleges such as the College of Physicians (COMA) and the College of Pharmacy (COFA).
Among the new features this season, Radio UMH will broadcast a segment called ‘Parlamento’ (Parliament), focusing on parliamentary activity, legislative initiatives, and political analysis, with participation from Law faculty members and individuals related to Journalism. A new science program, ‘Química a dúo’ (Chemistry Duo), will also premiere, hosted and coordinated by researchers Ángela Sastre Santos and Fernando Fernández Lázaro, aiming to make chemistry accessible to society in an engaging and rigorous manner, demonstrating its presence in daily life, food, health, the environment, and innovation.
Furthermore, the radio will continue with the daily broadcast of the Informativos UMH (UMH News) segment, as well as the program Cadusel, which covers all the news and broadcasts of university sporting events. In parallel, Radio UMH will maintain collaborations with the Association of University Radios (ARU), of which it is a member.
