Elche's Governing Board has greenlit the construction permit for a new building located at Calle Ancla, 58, in the L'Altet district. This project, comprising 27 homes, garages, and free-rent annexes, will occupy a vacant plot and signifies that urban growth is extending beyond the main city center.
The developer behind this initiative is Busibenalua SL, associated with one of the owners of the long-standing Benalúa dental clinic in Alicante. The building, to be named 'Edificio Ancla', will feature a rooftop pool, a chill-out area, a children's playground, and a gym – features increasingly common in new constructions.
Another notable aspect is the allocation of several ground-floor units for residential use, a trend that replaces the traditional commercial spaces. The building, already in the marketing phase, will have 3 floors plus a communal rooftop terrace and will include thirty parking spaces.
This approval follows closely on the heels of a subsidiary of Promociones San Antonio reactivating a project for 28 single-family homes in Valverde. Additionally, an extension has been granted for the construction of five more single-family homes with pools in Matola, bringing the total to 8 grouped homes, managed by Villas Matola.
