The celebration, which brought together approximately 2,850 participants, highlighted concerns about the transformation of the local commercial fabric. As usual, humorous criticisms were present, including depictions of the mayor Pablo Ruz and councilors like Inma Mora or José Antonio Román.
The first prize was awarded to the Altabix festival committee, which specifically focused its criticism on the loss of shops due to the conversion of ground-floor premises into housing. The jury evaluated criteria such as costumes, originality, and the relevance of the social critique.
The Queens and Ladies of the Elche 2026 Festivals, the 19 festival committees integrated into the Federación Gestora de Festejos Populares, and the Queens and Ladies of the Elche 2025 Festivals participated in the parade. The event featured 19 committees, with an average of 150 people per committee, along with floats from media outlets and sponsors.
Sponsors distributed around 13,000 balls and 2,000 plush toys, with a special emphasis on the participation of children. The committees also offered drinks and snacks to the attendees.
The Federación Gestora de Festejos Populares highlighted the high participation and collaboration, reaffirming the strength of Elche's festivals and their popular and participatory nature.
