The gathering brought together representatives from the five public Valencian universities: the University of Alicante, Jaume I University, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the University of Valencia, and the UMH itself. Also in attendance were members from the four private universities (CEU Cardenal Herrera University, Catholic University of Valencia San Vicente Mártir, Valencian International University, and European University of Valencia), as well as the Higher Institute of Artistic Studies of the Valencian Community (ISEACV).
CISAM-CV is established as a consultative, coordinating, and proposal body to foster joint strategies in promoting emotional well-being and mental health within higher education.
During the working session, coordinated by the UMH's Rector's Office for Healthy Campuses and Sports, relevant topics were discussed, including the creation of a website to be integrated into the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Universities' portal. Actions related to the new funding line for university mental health, promoted by the Directorate General for Universities, were also addressed, along with final adjustments to the web application that, coordinated by UMH, compiles mental health initiatives from the Council's member entities.
Furthermore, five working groups were formed to address the organization's key strategic lines. These teams will be responsible for monitoring the mental health initiatives repository, developing a document on essential minimum emotional well-being services each institution should offer, overseeing web content, organizing conferences and workshops to promote integral mental health within the university community, and creating common protocols for referring cases to the Valencian health system, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
