The Felipe II street has won first prize in the decorated street contest of the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities in Santa Pola, with eight candidates participating. The decoration, inspired by the Wild West, stood out with numerous handmade murals and excellent ambiance.
The second prize went to Calamar street, which presented a fair theme and a tribute to the old Bodega Ferrer. The third prize was awarded to San Miguel street for its artisanal jungle decoration, titled “Bienvenidos a la jungla”.
The jury, composed of members from festive entities, the festival commission, and the City Council, conducted the traditional parade yesterday to visit the eight candidates. The first prize is endowed with 300 euros in stationery, the second with 200 euros, and the third with 100 euros.
The decorated streets will be open for residents and visitors to enjoy until September 8th, the feast day of the Virgen de Loreto.
