The Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche is organizing an Ethnobotany and Cyanotype workshop tomorrow, Friday, September 18th, as part of the Convergences with Traditional Culture project.

The activity, taking place at 5:30 PM in room 2.2 of the La Valona building on the Elche campus, focuses on the properties of native plants and the role of traditional healers. Subsequently, cyanotype, a photographic technique using sunlight to record plant morphology with its characteristic color, will be demonstrated.
Ethnobotany is a branch of anthropology that studies the relationship between plants and humans. The workshop will explore the qualities of each native plant and the figure of the traditional healer and their home remedies.
This initiative is part of a broader project that includes two additional workshops: Traditional Games in October and Collage and Memory in November. They are aimed at children aged 6 to 12 and their families, with the goal of promoting language through nature, memory, and games.
Specialized staff from the Puçol School Museum will lead the workshops. To register, an email must be sent.
