The board of directors of Pimesa approved this Thursday the reparcelling project for the E-49 sector, a necessary step for the expansion of the Elche Business Park.

Administrative processing is moving forward to allow the start of urbanization works, budgeted at 37.5 million euros. Once the reparcelling is registered, a process that could take about six months, it is expected that machinery can enter the area. The municipal goal is to tender the works project in parallel to speed up deadlines, with the forecast that the award will take place during the first quarter of 2027.
The new sector will have a total area of 569,260 square meters. Of these, 276,264 square meters will be allocated to industrial and tertiary land, while the rest will be divided between road networks, green areas, and public facilities. The design includes the construction of seven roundabouts, nine new roads, and a bike lane. In addition, the installation of two water lamination tanks is planned to act as flood parks in case of runoff.
The city council has indicated that there is interest from various companies to settle in the new enclave. Direct management through Pimesa will allow the developer's profit to be zero, allocating all resources to the execution of the works. Regarding the Torre Ibarra, known as the Casa de la Mina, it has been decided to exclude its rehabilitation from the initial project to determine its future use by the local administration.
