Residents registered in Elche can enter a lottery for invitations to several emblematic events of the 2026 Patron Saint Festivals. 50 seats will be allocated for the Moorish Entry, 50 for the Christian Entry, 40 for the Embassies, 50 for the Charanga, and 10 for each performance of the Misteri d’Elx on August 11th and 12th.
The Councillor for Participation, Loli Serna, highlighted the local government's commitment to offering equal opportunities for citizens to enjoy the most popular festival events through a transparent process.
Registration for the lottery will be open from July 15th to July 28th, with applications exclusively submitted via the website www.elche.es/sorteo. The draw will take place on July 30th using a random selection computer application, under municipal supervision.
Results will be published on July 31st on the same website, and winners will receive an email with instructions for collecting their invitations. Participants must be over 16 years old and registered residents of Elche. Individuals can register for multiple draws but will only be eligible for one seat to maximize distribution.
Invitations must be collected from the Participation Department, located at Plaza Menéndez Pelayo number 2, between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Any seats not collected within the established deadline will be reassigned to individuals on the reserve list.
Serna encouraged citizens to participate in this initiative, emphasizing the ongoing effort to foster more inclusive festivals for all residents of Elche in honor of the Virgen de la Asunción.
