Elche's municipal libraries concluded the first half of the year with a total of 84,318 users, of whom 21.07% are under 14 years old, solidifying their role as a key cultural meeting point.

A total of 17,769 children accessed the municipal facilities during the first semester. The Councilor for Libraries, Loli Serna, highlighted that this children's participation "supports the success of reading promotion activities, such as storytelling, family workshops, and book presentations, as well as the use of children's and study rooms for the young ones".
The figures also reveal an active reading community with a predominance of female users. Of the 84,318 total users, 44.31% are women over 14 years old (37,362), surpassing men over 14 years old (34.62%, 29,187) by almost 10 points.
The municipal libraries continue with the objective of offering intergenerational spaces crucial for local education and cultural leisure.
