The Elche government team has begun the process for the sale of 31 plots, totaling 8 hectares, for the Ronda Sur, with an initial valuation of €540,762.54.

The Elche City Council has launched the process for the sale of 31 plots, covering 8 hectares of land, intended for the completion of the Ronda Sur. This first phase of expropriations amounts to €540,762.54, including a 5% "affection premium" on the final price. The highest compensation, €140,721.36, corresponds to a plot with an industrial warehouse.
Current figures are far from the €7.8 million previously mentioned, valuations that included all expropriations planned by the Ministry of Fomento. Now, the municipal corporation awaits the definitive project from the Generalitat Valenciana, currently being drafted by the UTE WSP Spain-APIA-Urbinsa, to determine the complete valuation of expropriations needed for the 3,180-meter route.
The Urban Planning department considers this initial part an advance by the municipality, aiming to later pass the cost to the central government. However, this matter is pending a response from the Ministry of Transport, which has not yet replied to inquiries sent by the mayor regarding infrastructure.
Among the affected plots are properties from companies like Metrovacesa, Construcciones Escribano, Grupo Carpaja, as well as owners of the E-37 sector, Parque Comercial del Vinalopó, and irrigation communities like Riegos de Levante. The plots vary in size, some exceeding 7,100 square meters, and are located in areas such as Llano de San José and Algorós.
The Generalitat maintains the execution plan until 2028, with an initial forecast of €8 million for 2026, which has been reduced to €1.1 million. The current schedule anticipates €18.7 million for 2027 and €16 million for 2028. For its part, the City Council has allocated €2 million through a loan for this first phase, intending to later claim the €7.8 million from the Ministry of Transport.
