The Participation Department of the Elche City Council has conducted a public draw for tickets to attend some of the most representative events of the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities. This edition saw 2,768 registered residents sign up, of whom 63% are women and 37% are men. The draw, carried out using a random computer system supervised by municipal staff, awarded 210 double invitations. The terms and conditions limited each participant to a maximum of one event to encourage wider distribution among beneficiaries.
The councilor for the area, Loli Serna, highlighted that this initiative aims to "bring the Patron Saint Festivities closer to all citizens on equal opportunities." She emphasized that "the high participation demonstrates the interest of Elche residents in experiencing our most representative events up close and continuing to enjoy festivities open to all."
The events with the highest demand were, once again, the performances of the Misteri d’Elx, with 2,079 applications for the August 12th performance and 1,941 for the August 11th performance. The Charanga also registered high demand with 1,708 registrations. Other events with considerable participation included the Moorish Entry (1,634 applications), the Christian Entry (1,576), and the Embassies (1,350).
The draw results can be consulted on the municipal website www.elche.es. Awarded individuals have also received an email notification. Tickets must be collected in person at the Participation Department, located at Plaza Menéndez Pelayo, 2. The collection period for the Moorish and Christian Entries and the Embassies will be from August 3rd to 6th. For the Charanga and the Misteri d’Elx performances, the period will extend from August 3rd to 7th. Tickets not collected within these deadlines will be automatically assigned to individuals on the reserve list.
