The National Police has put an end to the activities of a family clan involved in the trafficking of narcotic substances in Elche. The two detainees, a father and his son, operated using the well-known "telecoca" method, delivering merchandise directly to customers' homes via motorcycles. Both arrestees have previous police records for similar offenses.
The investigation began following reports received by officers about potential illicit activity in a residence in the Carrús neighborhood. The Narcotics Group of the Judicial Police of the Elche Police Station focused its efforts on locating the property and identifying its occupants.
Investigations confirmed that the individuals involved were a father and son, both with criminal records related to drug trafficking. Their distribution system involved short trips on mopeds to various locations, where they would briefly meet with other individuals before returning to their base residence. The suspects took extreme security measures to avoid police detection, circling the block multiple times before accessing their garage to check for surveillance.
With sufficient evidence and a judicial warrant, the National Police searched the residence, leading to the arrest of both men. During the operation, officers seized 95 grams of cocaine ready for distribution, 5,605 euros in cash, a precision scale, tools for preparing doses, and one of the mopeds used for deliveries, which contained further evidence for the investigation.
Following the completion of the relevant police proceedings, the two detainees were handed over to the investigating courts of Elche.
