Several events scheduled in Elche during August will involve street closures and parking restrictions. The Plaza de San Crispín in Torrellano will experience closures on Fridays from 5:00 PM until Mondays at 6:00 AM, from June 26th to October 13th. There will also be impacts on Plaza de San Crispín and Santa Rita starting from 3:00 PM.
The Arenales del Sol market will take place on August 7th and 11th, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, on C/ Gran Vía de los Arenales del Sol. Additionally, bars will be set up in the city center area on August 7th, 8th, and 14th, from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with disruptions on C/ Maestro Albéniz and Alpujarra from Friday, August 7th, to Saturday, August 15th.
Children's aquatic activities will be held on August 9th, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, on Mariano Pérez Vives street, between Antonio Brotons Pastor and Asunción Parreño García, with closures starting from 1:00 PM.
The mascletadas (firecracker displays) are scheduled for August 8th, 9th, and 10th at 2:00 PM, on Avda. Alcalde Vicente Quiles with Paseo Estación. There will be traffic closures from 7:00 AM in various streets such as the Parking de Candalix, Candalix, and Avda. Del Ferrocarril.
The Sopar del Cabasset (traditional dinner) will take place on August 8th starting at 9:00 PM in the central garden of Obispo Barrachina street. The nocturnal mascletà will be on the same day at midnight on C/ Jaime Gómez Orts, between Avda. de la UNESCO and Carátula, with restrictions starting from 6:00 PM.
Other events include the Almuerzo Festero (festive lunch) on August 9th in Barrera, a concert on August 9th in the central garden of Obispo Barrachina street, and the Concurso Costra Sagrada Familia on August 10th in the same garden.
On the night of August 13th, the Palmeres Nit de l’Albà (Palm Trees Night of the Alba) will take place at various locations: CEIP Hispanidad, CEIP La Alcudia, Colegio Tamarit, and Plaza 1º de Mayo. Parking restrictions and traffic closures will begin at 5:00 PM in the areas near the educational centers and the square.
