The Councilor for Public Services, Claudio Guilabert, visited the asphalt paving works underway on Alfredo Sánchez Torres street, in the Carrús neighborhood. These tasks are part of a broader plan that includes improvements throughout the urban area and its districts, with an allocated budget of one million euros, initiated last January.
The improvements on Alfredo Sánchez Torres street are being carried out simultaneously with those on Hermanos Navarro Caracena street. Both projects are expected to conclude in the coming days, marking the completion of the first batch of asphalt paving work.
Guilabert highlighted the importance of this contract, valid throughout the year, which has allowed for the paving of numerous roads and streets. Furthermore, he announced that a new asphalt tender will begin in September, which will be added to the sidewalk plan, to continue with the objective of public road renewal.
The asphalt plan, with a budget of one million euros, has already allowed interventions in about twenty streets and roads since its start in January. Next week, works will continue on the road from Monforte del Cid to Santa Pola, in Perleta, covering a section of over 1,000 meters.
Among the actions already executed are roads such as Ruido, Safari, Tremendo, Vizcaya (in La Hoya), Coves, the exit from the School of Languages towards Avenida de la Universidad, and streets like Blasco Ibáñez, Maestro Serrano, Reina Victoria, Torres Quevedo, Eduardo Rodríguez García, and Pi (in Las Bayas), as well as Avenida Alcalde Vicente Quiles.
Action has also been taken on the Camino Viejo de Santa Pola, Camino de la Rápita (where a subsidence was repaired), Camino del Ocho, Camino del Vessant del Platero, Camino del Purgatori, Camino del Molar, and the Vereda de Dolores a Alicante. Additionally, improvements to speed bumps have been carried out on various roads.
