The performance, part of the Cultural Dialogues: Orihuela and Elche – UMH project, will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30th, at the Auditorium of La Lonja in Orihuela, and on Thursday, October 1st, at the Cinemateca on the Elche campus, both at 7:30 PM. Admission is free until the venue is full.
Áspid is a research work focused on the relevance of myths and archetypes associated with femininity, gender roles, the romantic representation of the dancer, the collision of forces, the struggle of opposites, mechanisms of coercion, emancipation strategies, and identity construction through the choreographic and musical codes of flamenco.
In 2020, dance professionals from Andalusia awarded it the prize for best performance designed for unconventional spaces.
The organization has been carried out in collaboration with the Orihuela City Council.
