The award, granted in the Public Entity category, recognizes SABIEX's efforts in favor of the elderly, promoting active and healthy aging through training, research, scientific dissemination, and social participation.
The Vice-Rector for Culture, Equality, and Diversity at UMH, Susi Amorós, accepted the award.
The awarding of this prize also highlights the ongoing collaboration between SABIEX and AFA Alicante. Joint actions include hosting students from the Master's Degree in Gerontology and Health, developing a cognitive stimulation manual with proceeds benefiting AFA Alicante, participating in scientific conferences, and collaborating on research into the strengths of older adults during confinement.
Furthermore, SABIEX has contributed to initiatives aimed at improving care, such as the RealityCare.Te project.
