The project will replace the current enclosure with an automatic glass sliding door and a motorized electric shutter. Health Councilor Irene Celdrán highlighted that this was a much-requested action to provide a definitive solution to recurring access problems, thereby improving the safety, accessibility, and comfort for patients and professionals.
The plan includes installing a double-leaf automatic sliding door with aluminum framing and safety glazing, presence and safety sensors, and emergency opening mechanisms. A motorized roller shutter will also be installed, along with the necessary electrical wiring.
The works, including the removal of the current enclosure and finishing touches, will be coordinated with the clinic's operation, preferably carried out outside of service hours to minimize disruption. An alternative safe route will be provided if temporary closure of the main entrance is necessary during construction.
The initiative has a budget of €12,866, including VAT, with a maximum execution period of 30 calendar days. Celdrán emphasized that the Health Department continues to work on municipal clinics to improve facilities and address identified needs, directly impacting the quality of healthcare provided.
