The Orihuela City Council has launched seven projects to improve sports facilities, playgrounds, recreational areas, and signage in the villages of Arneva, Hurchillo, and Torremendo, with a budget of €56,567.

The interventions, part of the participatory funds program and defined based on resident needs, are aimed at District VIII and have a tender budget of €56,567.71, including VAT.
In Arneva, modular prefabricated concrete grandstands will be installed at the municipal sports center, featuring individual seats, access stairs, and railings. The affected pavement will also be conditioned.
In Hurchillo, a textile cover will be installed to provide shade for the children's play area located between Barranco and Aljibes streets. The current space includes a multi-sport court, a garden area, and a playground, but existing trees offer insufficient shade.
In Torremendo, a calisthenics circuit will be created in the recreational area opposite the church of Nuestra Señora de Monserrate, aimed at young people. Additionally, existing information panels in the San Isidro recreational area will be repaired and conditioned, and elements of the playground will be renovated.
The contract also includes the installation of three interpretive panels on local heritage and street maps in the three villages, to facilitate knowledge and orientation for visitors.
