The event, organized by the Orihuela Local Police and the National Union of Chiefs and Commanders of Local Police of the Valencian Community (UNIJEMPOL), held its opening today with the donation of the check. The funds were raised through registration fees and "Fila Cero" donations.
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Mónica Pastor, and the Chief Superintendent of the Orihuela Local Police, Rubén Selma, presented the symbolic check to the Center's director, Marta Moreno. Users from the 'Diverso' cafeteria, where the congress proceeds will be allocated, were also present.
Mónica Pastor emphasized the importance of maintaining "a well-trained and prepared Local Police force to face the challenges of a city the size of Orihuela." She also expressed her "support for this charitable Congress initiative, which clearly aims for future continuity".
Rubén Selma highlighted the significance of this training event for all Citizen Security professionals, stressing the need to be prepared for any situation in times of crisis and the importance of events like the one taking place in Orihuela.
The congress, concluding this Friday, brings together professionals from State Security Forces and Corps from various parts of the country, along with companies and entities specializing in police training, equipment, and technology, as well as instructors from different police and military bodies.
