First vice-president, Ana Serna, highlighted these as "historic figures" and emphasized that the town councils "will have full freedom and autonomy to decide the destination of the funds." She praised "the effort made by the Council to improve services in our towns and cities and to reactivate the economy by helping families and small and medium-sized enterprises."
On one hand, the +Cerca Plan includes an allocation of 9,323,710 euros for the municipalities of Vega Baja and Baix Vinalopó. The subsidies will be entirely dedicated to financing current expenses and are determined by criteria such as population, surface area, population density, risk of depopulation, and minor local entities. The maximum subsidy is 500,000 euros and will cover general operating and ordinary maintenance costs for municipal facilities.
On the other hand, the Bono Consumo will distribute 8,010,476 euros among the municipalities of these regions, the highest figure since its inception in 2022. The objective is to "inject money into household economies, into families to help them with the increased cost of shopping, while ensuring that these resources also circulate within local businesses and that great sector represented in the province by the self-employed and small and medium-sized enterprises," stated Serna.
The aid will be distributed based on population and will be granted directly to the town councils, which will develop their own campaigns. The Council will not subsidize campaign management expenses. The subsidized activities will take place between the publication of the call and December 31, 2026 (or October 15, 2026, if no advance payment is opted for).
Additionally, the subsidy call promoted by SUMA will distribute 1,144,158 euros among the 30 municipalities of Vega Baja and Baix Vinalopó to help partially finance the public expenditure generated by the management and collection of taxes. The aim is to return to the town councils part of the effort to cover this service, especially in a complex economic climate.
The SUMA subsidies are distributed in two tranches: a linear one of 4,000 euros and a proportional one until the allocation is exhausted, capped at the cost incurred in 2025 by each town council. The aid must be requested by the municipality.
