The day took place in the center's renovated facilities, located in the Palmeral. The event served as a meeting point for users, professionals, and families, who were able to enjoy this deeply rooted local tradition once again.
During the institutional act, the festive positions for the year 2026 were appointed. Subsequently, the participants took part in several parades through the interior of the premises, recreating the atmosphere of the Orihuela festivities. The program also included a commemorative exhibition for the 30th anniversary of this celebration at the center, as well as the presentation of awards and recognitions to various members of the community.
“"This event is one of the most emotional of the entire festive week."
The institutional representation included the presence of the mayor of Orihuela and the councilor for Social Welfare, as well as members of the Association of Moors and Christians Festivals ‘Santas Justa y Rufina’. Municipal officials thanked the collective effort to restore activity at the center and promote the full inclusion of the users.
