The site, located on Concejala Trinidad Saur street, covers an area of 3,566 square meters. This infrastructure involved an investment of 541,557 euros and is prepared to meet the needs of over 19,000 people, allowing for the disposal of more than 50 types of household waste that cannot be managed in conventional containers.
The facility features 12 large-capacity containers, areas for electrical and electronic equipment, hazardous waste, and a weighing scale. The computerized system will allow for user identification, and bonus schemes will soon be implemented to incentivize recycling and reward the environmental commitment of residents.
The project is part of a strategy to consolidate a regional network that will continue to grow with future developments in Rojales and Los Montesinos. In fact, construction has already begun on the third fixed ecopark at the Levante II industrial estate in Los Montesinos, with an expected investment of nearly 510,000 euros.
The Consortium reminds the public that these facilities are regional in nature. Therefore, any person registered in one of the 27 member municipalities will be able to use the ecoparks in Dolores, Almoradí, and, once operational, the one in Los Montesinos.
