Officers from the Almoradí Local Police have had to intervene on several occasions in recent days to assist elderly people requiring help. These situations include falls, dizziness, disorientation, and other emergencies occurring both in their homes and in public areas.
In one of the most recent services, officers responded to a home where an elderly person had suffered a fall and could not get up. From the outside, they confirmed the person was conscious but immobilized on the floor and unable to open the door. Faced with this situation, and with the collaboration of the Fire Department, access to the dwelling was gained.
Once inside, the police provided initial assistance and remained with the individual until the arrival of medical services. Subsequently, paramedics transferred the affected person to the hospital for a full medical evaluation.
These interventions highlight the importance of rapid response and coordination among different emergency services, especially when dealing with elderly individuals who may be alone or have difficulty asking for help.
