The city of Benicarló has initiated the participatory budgets process for this year. This citizen initiative will allow residents of the town to play an active role in decision-making regarding public fund investment.
Through this tool, residents can submit their project proposals and, subsequently, vote for those they deem most necessary or beneficial for the municipality. The aim is to foster citizen participation and channel the real needs of the population into local policies.
The proposals that receive the most citizen support will be included in the municipal budget, thus ensuring that investments align with the priorities set by the inhabitants of Benicarló themselves.
