The interventions carried out at El Parral in Agullent have been completed, focusing on environmental enhancement and natural disaster prevention. These works have renovated the public space by incorporating new perennial trees, which will create shaded areas and improve thermal comfort, along with new irrigation systems for vegetation maintenance. Urban furniture, including benches and a dual-level fountain for people and animals, has also been installed.
In addition to landscape improvements, the project included updating the Agullent Municipal Territorial Emergency Plan. This revision aims to enhance municipal planning for potential risk situations and strengthen prevention and response tools for emergencies. The grant from the Provincial Council of Valencia, amounting to €71,710.40, was crucial for these efforts.
The mayor of Agullent, Pau Muñoz, highlighted the significance of these improvements for the public space and the municipality's preparedness for high temperatures. He noted that the addition of new trees and furniture makes El Parral a more pleasant area, while the updated emergency plan bolsters the municipality's response capabilities.
With the completion of these works, the Agullent City Council continues to advance in improving public spaces, climate adaptation, and risk prevention, combining urban environment enhancement with the strengthening of municipal planning.
